This year I’m fortunate enough to be attending both the International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference (CSUN) and the South By Southwest Interactive (SXSWi) conference. My day job PayPal is sponsoring both trips, yay!
So at the end of February, I’ll be going to my fourth CSUN, all in San Diego (it was previously held near the LA airport). I’ll be presenting one session Developing an Accessible Widget with ARIA and my colleagues are presenting two others. Thankfully, for the first time I’ll be staying at the conference hotel, the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Trying to get a cab ride at 7:30AM can be a pain in the rump! Then a week later, in early March, it will be my very first time attending SXSW in Austin, Texas. Of course, I’ve heard a lot about the festive event, and a few times mentioned on Web Axe how every year I give a failed attempt to go. My colleague is giving a workshop at SXSWi, and I’ll also be visiting the PayPal office in Austin, so it won’t be all fun, but a lot of fun. I have been to Austin once before (gave Keynote at AccessU) but never to South By or PayPal.
